Using Shop Ads to Advertise Your Shop

This feature is still in beta mode, and is only available to selected sellers. 


Boost your shop visibility and increase product sales using Shop Ads. Shop Ads features your shop name, shop voucher and products most relevant to shoppers*, with the option to customise your ad's picture and tagline. Your Shop Ads will appear at the top of the Search results page and within the Shopee Fruit Game*. 



*Notes:

  1. Shop Ads show in the Search Results page will show up to 9 products most relevant to shoppers’ search terms with 1 voucher
  2. However, if your shop doesn't have an applicable voucher, Shop Ads will display up to 10 most relevant products
  3. Shopee Fruit Games ad placement is only available for Shop Ads with Auto Bidding


Why should I use Shop Ads to advertise my shop?

Attract relevant shoppers to direct them to your shop page’s product tab to discover and purchase your products.

Highlight your unique selling point and promotions, connect with shoppers and engage them to go to your shop page. 


How do I get started?


Shopee makes it easy for you to create Shop Ads to reach potential buyers. Go to Seller Centre and select Shopee Ads under the Marketing Centre to create a new Shop Ad.



  1. Select Promote Shop to create Shop Ads

Create Shop Ads to promote your store products to shoppers actively searching with related keywords or viewing similar products. 


  1. Set your ad budget and duration 

Control your ad's performance by setting a budget and duration for your ad. Your budget and duration determine how long your ad remains active for.


Your ads will stop running when any of the following occurs:

  1. Budget runs out 
  2. Ads Credit runs out 
  3. Ad has reached specified ad end date 
  4. Ad is stopped manually


  1. Choose your bidding type

Choose between Shopee’s Auto bidding feature or manually set the keywords and cost-per-click (CPC) bid yourself. With Manual Bidding, you have full control over selecting your keywords bid price. The bid price is the most you are willing to pay for each click on the Shop Ad. 


  1. Choose product-relevant keywords to reach the right audience

Keywords that are relevant with your shop’s products make it easier for shoppers to find what they are looking for. To attract potential shoppers, you can select from Shopee’s recommended keywords or choose your own keywords to optimise your product’s visibility.


  1. Set up your Shop Ads Creatives

Choose between Default or Customise* creative settings to have the choice to edit how your Shop Ads will look like. The default image will be your shop image, you can customise an image to better fit your campaign. Use a compelling tagline that is related to your best-selling products or current promotions to attract shoppers and drive up shop traffic.


Note*: Customise creative settings is only available for Shop Ads with Manual Bidding



How will I be charged?


You will only be charged when shoppers click on your Shop Ad. The cost is deducted from your Ads Credit balance. To safeguard sellers like yourself, Shopee's system automatically detects invalid clicks (e.g. repeated clicks from the same user or automated clicks), for which you will not be charged for.


What determines my ad's exposure?


As multiple sellers bid on the same keyword, your ad competes with other ads to be displayed at the top of the search results page and Shopee Fruit Games. 


Your ad exposure is determined by 2 factors*:


  1. Cost-per-click bid price refers to the highest price you are willing to pay when a shopper clicks on your ad.
  2. The higher your bid price, the more likely your ad will be displayed
  3. The actual price charged is often less than your bid price. The Shopee ad auction system calculates the minimum amount required to show your ad 
  4. Shop relevance is determined by your product listings, your Shop username, and bidded on keywords. The greater the relevance of your shop to the selected keywords for each buyer, the higher the likelihood that your ad will be showcased.


*Note: If your shop does not have enough product-relevant keywords, your Shop Ads will not be shown to shoppers. To ensure your manual Shop Ads work well, select and set up more keywords as much as possible (more than 50) to ensure that your Shop Ads gain enough traffic and impressions.


How to pause/stop my Shop Ads?


  1. To pause the ad, visit the Ad Detail page and click Pause.
  2. Alternatively, click on Stop to end the ad completely.


Who can use Shop Ads to advertise their shops?


Shop Ads is currently open to sellers selected by Shopee with a good track record in sales and have at least 10 order ratings. You are also required to have 4 active product listings within your shop. Your eligibility is automatically updated every day and you will be able to get access to Shop Ads upon meeting the criteria.
